And that he worked it in Dior. :)
Who is your BFF on set?
Chris: Oh, Lou, Lou, for sure! For sure!
Lou: We share secrets.
Chris: We do.
Have you learned more about style just from working [with Lou Eyrich, Glee’s costume designer]?
Chris: Being on the show has been the hugest education for me as far as the fashion industry goes. When we started the Pilot, I had no idea who Marc Jacobs was, and Lou almost fainted when I told her that. But no, she’s been an amazing teacher, teaching me who Dior and Gucci is. And we have so much fun in our fittings.
Lou: He wears it so well. He’s such a good sport when we put him in the craziest stuff. He’s like, ‘I wouldn’t wear it outside of the room, but okay. This is great.’
Chris: I love it when we walk into a fitting and we see something we both just laugh hysterically at.
Lou: Then we know it’s good.
Chris: Right. And I love - I think the best quote we’ve ever had during a fitting was, “Chris, are you worried that your fringe will get caught in your sequins?”
Lou: He does have the record long fittings. His fittings are always the longest.
Chris: Like I said, we bring snacks, ‘cause we’d pass out.
How long was the longest fitting?
Lou: Four and a half.
Wow. That’s a lot.
Chris: Yeah.
Chris: I love it when we walk into a fitting and we see something we both just laugh hysterically at.
Lou: Then we know it’s good.
Amen.
Do you ever ask for fashion advice? And if you did, who would you ask?
Chris: I called Lou [Eyrich, Glee’s costume designer] once! I was new in town and I needed a suit back when we were just, you know, little actors on a little show. And yeah, she told me all the stores to go to and where to go and who to talk to and - absolutely, yeah, total fairy godmother right here. And then… I remember one night, one of my first events ever, and she was a total fairy godmother for me because I had nothing to wear. And she pulled things from my wardrobe from the show and gave it to me to wear to the event.
Lou: But we made it very un-Kurt-like. We mixed pieces so it was Chris, not Kurt.
Chris: No sequins, no fringe.
Jayma: You could borrow Emma clothes as well, if you ever need. There’s some great pencil skirts you would look amazing in.
I love them together. And Jayma isn’t wrong. He has great legs.
Who is your BFF on set?
Chris: Oh, Lou! Lou, for sure! For sure!
Lou: We share secrets.
Chris: We do.
I bet they do!
He calls her his fairy godmother and says they’re great friends who share secrets during fittings. :3
OMG, that’s adorable! I hadn’t read that before :)
Aw, Chris and Lou in NYC (with Chewbacca). I hadn’t seen this one before.
